Farnbrough Airport history

Farnborough Aerodrome has an extensive and impressive aviation history.  The facility now operated by TAG at Farnborough was the first operational airfield in the UK.  Farnborough Airport has enjoyed a wide variety of uninterrupted use by a number of different aviation bodies since its establishment as a balloon factory for the Royal Engineers in 1905.
